The last few winter seasons has seen a huge re-surge of traditional techniques within knitted garments and patterns.
Cable, twist and texture stitches are the key to creating these fabrics and this workshop looks into this. How these cable patterns are worked and how they are balanced with other texture patterns is explained during the day. There will also be guidance on how to follow a charted pattern successfully – something that is becoming increasingly common with contemporary knit patterns.
The course is suitable for those who have never worked cables before but who are established knitters, as well as those who would like to explore the techniques further. Its aim is to inform as well as to inspire.
